Boy died of THIRST after his parents refused him water for five days ‘as punishment for wetting the bed’

 

A man charged in the dehydration death of his 10-year-old son testified on Wednesday that he blames his wife for the boy’s slow and painful demise.

“I felt like she was the one responsible for him ending up the way he did,” Michael Ray James said of Tina Marie Alberson’s role in the July 2011 death of her stepson Jonathan James. The 43-year-old man, who suffers from numerous health problems and was in a wheelchair in court, was testifying for prosecutors in the case against Alberson. The 44-year-old woman faces up to life in prison if convicted of first-degree felony injury to a child.

Michael James is facing the same charge and is scheduled to go to trial next month. He said he chose to testify against Alberson “to see that justice gets done in the interest of my son.” Authorities believe the couple deprived Jonathan of water for days before he collapsed at their southern Dallas home. He was staying there with his fraternal twin brother for a month long court-ordered custody visit. The air conditioning wasn’t working in much of the house in the midst of a record hot summer, when daily temperatures exceeded 100 degrees. Click below for full story -
